Steve and Marina started Novale Bathrooms in 2003 when they saw an opportunity to provide dream designer bathrooms and make it easy for customers by taking the stress out of the process.
Today, the success of their business enables them to sponsor nine children in developing countries, provide 21 micro business start-up loans, and provide 231 nights of accommodation to families who are experiencing homelessness.
“The X factor for us when we’re doing a job is we’re very organised, and it’s a systematic approach ... There’s a lot of choices, there’s a lot of decisions to be made. We’re really understanding what it takes to deliver the bathroom on site, and we do a lot of those things beforehand.”
Marina is moved to tears when she thinks about the hardship others face in the community.
"It’s hard for people out there, in this world, in the society that we live in. It’s not easy, there's struggles in life; emotional, physical, mental, and we really need to give back to change things, to change this world. It’s not the world I want my kids to live in, and if I can give that opportunity to other children, I will.”
The generosity that’s been seamlessly integrated into the everyday business of Novale Bathrooms was made simple as a Pro Purpose partner.
Alana Nicholls, Founder and CEO at Pro Purpose, works with a range of businesses to help them find their purpose and translate profit into charitable impact.
"At Pro Purpose, we’re about inspiring and uniting businesses, who come with a desire, who want to use their business for a purpose, and so we help uncover that for a business and connect them to a charitable project ... All of those proceeds go towards the impact on the ground.”
Founder and CEO of the plumbing and drainage business Limcora, Evan Graham, says Pro Purpose helps to make giving simple.
Standing in front of his generosity wall at the Limcora head office, Evan explains the one truck one child program that Pro Purpose helped them establish, and that it is now part of their everyday operations.
As part of one truck one child, for every Limcora truck that is on the road, Limcora sponsor a child through World Vision.
“These licence plates connect our vehicles to our sponsor child... We have 42 vehicles on the road, 42 children that we sponsor,” said Evan.
“Every new member of Limcora in their induction is made aware of the connection between the registration of the vehicle they’re in to the child that we sponsor.
“We not only grow tradesmen, but while those tradesmen are being grown, they’re actually supporting children that are being grown, so eventually these children can go down a career path and life a full life … Our goal is for our staff … to have a deep sense of impact of what we’re all doing together.”
